Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Monitor and record vital signs to track patient health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Perform sonography procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control within the healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical-surgical nursing practices.
- Experience in pediatric intensive care (PICU) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital setting is a plus.
