We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Yard Maintenance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in upholding the standards of cleanliness and hygiene across commercial and residential spaces. It is situated at our truck stop and entails knowledge of various service and labor functions.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Execute floor care duties such as buffing and waxing to ensure high-quality maintenance of flooring surfaces.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to provide a clean environment for employees and visitors.
- Engage in residential painting as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the premises.
- Uphold custodial best practices while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work included being outside and interacting with various customers.
Skills
- Proficient in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Experience in industrial cleaning methods with a strong understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
- Knowledgeable in facilities maintenance practices with an ability to identify issues that require attention.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality custodial services.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
