Custodian (part-time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly, ensuring supplies are stocked and facilities are hygienic.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues that require attention to management.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
• Serve as a porter when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or facility changes.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance practices.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and moving throughout the day.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
