Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Loading a delivery truck at a regional loading depot with various bakery products.
- Delivering these products to retail and institutional customers.
- Retrieving outdated bakery products from customers and returning them to the regional loading depot.
- Reordering bakery products and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Meeting or exceeding budgeted objectives.
- Performing all assigned job duties in a safe, courteous, and timely manner according to all company guidelines.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Solid work history, including at least one year of experience at previous employers.
- Sales experience, with industry experience preferred.
- A proven safe work history.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen, and physical, and be at least 21 years old.
- A valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance.
- A clean driving record and a current driving abstract from the department of licensing.
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large bulky racks of product.
- The ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, reach, kneel, and squat while loading/unloading delivery trucks and shelving bakery products.
- The ability to communicate effectively with owners/managers and supervisors in grocery stores, restaurants, and institutions.
