Sunday Vinyl Senior Bartender position focuses on advancing leadership, vision, and organizational skills. In this role, you will shoulder responsibilities for enhancing guest experiences, ensuring employee performance, and contributing to the operational success of the restaurant. Key tasks include setting up the restaurant for service, leading pre-shifts, overseeing the floor during service, managing guest expectations, and fostering a positive work environment through consistent constructive feedback to the staff.

Sunday Vinyl operates on a whole house tip share system, the practice of requiring all tipped employees to contribute all of their tips into one collective pool which is then divided among all hourly staff members. Your hourly base wage will be at Denver’s minimum wage, $18.81 per hour.

- Contribute to the development of cocktail menus, spirits, and other bar offerings.
- Comply with FHG Policy and Protocols, covering aspects such as grooming, uniform, and adherence to time and attendance requirements.
- Manage guests experiences, get involved in any issue, meet and make notes on guests
- Make sure restaurant is always opened/closed according to our standards
- Lead employees through pre-services, consistently monitoring and training through service
- Make sure that all supplies are ready before service, stations are stocked, menus are printed
- Inventory
- Mandatory monthly inventory presence on the 1st, as scheduled by the GM, with submission of the complete inventory to the Beverage Director, GM, and Owners by the 3rd of each month.
- Before final submission, provide a draft to the Beverage Director and thoroughly review a variance report, explaining and accounting for all variances.
- Cross-check purchases with the accounting department's records via R365 on a weekly and monthly basis prior to inventory submission.
- Ensure consistency in offerings by ordering and costing to meet the COGS budget. Collaborate with the GM and Beverage Director to manage, order, and enhance the Bar Program.
- Leadership
- Maintain positive attitude at all times, before and during service
- It is the role of the Senior Bartender to spearhead education in pre-service, study sessions, and on a monthly class basis.
- The education schedule must be planned in advance with the guidance and coordination of the Beverage Director. Education is expected to be constant and diverse.
- Provide assistance to entire FOH team during service
- Communication
- Maintain effective communication channels with the Beverage Director, promptly informing them of any core items that are 86d and providing regular updates through a weekly email.
- When leaving town, activate an out-of-office reply on your email, and ensure you give advance notice to the Beverage Director.
- Foster strong communication with all levels of management and owners. Choose appropriate times for discussions, avoiding addressing issues during service. Instead, request a one-on-one meeting for matters best suited to personal discussions with the owner, GM, or Beverage Director.
- 18 month commitment to the lead position.
- Must be present for the 1st-3rd of every month for inventory submission.
- Sufficiently trained in serving, host and barista roles.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers effectively with a composed demeanor at all times.
- Proficiency with Toast, Bevager, Restaurant 365, Tock, Google Drive, Excel and Adobe InDesign.
- Frasca Hospitality Group Server or Bartender
- Level One Barsmarts Certified
- Previous bartending experience or trained within FHG Bar program
- Professional and confident verbal and written communication
- Strong ability to multitask
- Excellent knowledge of menu offering: food, wine and cocktails
- Must possess leadership qualities and be able to work well with a team
- Comprehensive understanding of company morals, objectives and standards
