Job Description:
- Executing automotive mechanic duties to repair and maintain vehicles in a good and functional condition
- Identifying and noting down the defects of vehicle systems
- Repairing and examining the performance of automotive vehicles
- Repairing brakes, exhaust, hydraulic, electrical suspension, and fuel ignition of vehicles
- Analyzing, identifying, and repairing electrical suspensions, and wheel alignments of vehicles
- Maintaining and managing work tools, while also ensuring that equipment and machinery are in good condition
- Scheduling future maintenance sessions and advising vehicle owners on the maintenance and management of vehicles
- Staying up to date with the latest vehicle trends and updating knowledge by reading technical publications.
- Possible Travel to other locations- St. Anne, IL to work on equipment
- Always promote safety first and assists in maintaining housekeeping requirements on the premises
- Safeguard the confidentiality of FRATCO, especially products, operations, financial, customers, and personal information
- Maintain a positive cooperative working relationship with customers, community and those persons superior or subordinate to this position, as well as peers
Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge of mechanic with semi- trailer, forklifts
- Must be able to competently operate all distribution equipment
- Must be able to work on diesel equipment
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal employees and external customers
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to operate equipment
