Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Director of HR Operations to lead and enhance our HR functions, driving employee engagement, operational excellence, and organizational success. This role covers a wide range of responsibilities, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, team leadership, HR operations, compliance, and talent development. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining systems, processes, and strategies that align with our mission and foster workforce growth and satisfaction.
Employee Relations: • Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing recommendations and documentation. • Engage with leadership and employees to address concerns and enhance engagement. • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for employees.
Compensation and Benefits: • Oversee payroll, benefits, and 401(k) programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Conduct market benchmarking and periodic reviews to maintain competitive compensation. • Design and manage compensation programs that align with company objectives.
HR Operations and Compliance: • Ensure compliance with labor laws, maintain employee records, and uphold organizational policies. • Update and improve the Employee Handbook, policies, procedures, and HR reporting and analytics. • Plan and execute initiatives and events to boost employee engagement.
HR Team Leadership: • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to achieve organizational goals. • Conduct performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and team alignment sessions. • Ensure the team meets annual goals and objectives.
Talent Development: • Develop and implement programs for learning, performance, and career development. • Identify and coach high-potential employees for future leadership roles. • Provide training and development opportunities for managers and staff.
Qualifications: • Experience: 10 years of HR experience with a proven track record in HR operations, employee relations, and team leadership. Experience in a mid-sized organization (300–1,000 employees) is preferred. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) are advantageous. • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire. Proficiency in HRIS systems and a thorough understanding of employment laws and best practices.
