As of February 7th, a terrific law firm in the Newark area seeks a Human Resources Director to work closely with attorneys, staff, and firm leadership. This role will involve :
- Play a strategic and hands-on role regarding performance management, staff development, and employee relations.
- Partnering with firm leadership on all people-related initiatives while enhance employee engagement and management effectiveness.
- Coordinating with external vendors on benefits enrollment, plan changes, and negotiations for annual renewals.
- Conducting performance reviews, recommending bonus / merit increases, determining performance improvement plans, and conducting exit / departure procedures.
- Managing and mentoring two direct reports as well as advising other departmental managers on HR best practices.
- Overseeing the talent acquisition process for professional staff.
