What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Auditor position at FRC Component Products, Inc?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reads and interprets fairly complicated fabricated parts and mechanical assembly drawings.
· Okays new tooling used in the assembly of parts.
· Makes reinspection of machine assembled parts that may be causing trouble on assembly lines to determine their conformity to drawing specifications or procedures.
· Performs visual and instrument inspection on assemblies.
· Sets up and operates equipment for checking the calibration, vacuum and pressure testing, balancing, light checking and other operations involved in the final inspection of completed instruments.
· Uses a variety of electrical and/or mechanical measuring instruments for the inspection of all units, and monitors the processes in the area which the assignment covers.
· Required to use magnification equipment.
· Sets up and operates mechanical and electrical instruments to aid in locating, repairing, and recommends means of correcting malfunctions.
· Makes gauging and/or surface place set-ups and uses plug gauges, micrometers, and scales for checking hole sizes and location of holes or parts.
· Works with supervisors and engineering personnel.
· Required to perform audits of quality system.
· Required to keep and maintain records as described in Quality Control Standards.
· Work is performed using written procedures and/or drawings. Must have a good knowledge of workmanship standards as applied to assembly practices. Responsible for minor decisions.
