The Nance Family has a long history in Colorado's construction industry. Clyde Nance was a superintendent for General Contractors in the area like GH Phipps and Swinerton during the 1950s and 1960s. His son, Ralph Nance, spent most of his career in commercial earthwork after working summers for Clyde doing concrete and carpentry. Ralph and his wife, Dee, decided to start their own company, Front Range Excavating, Inc., in the summer of 1988.
