Job Title: Experienced Baker (Full-Time)

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday through Friday, with weekend availability)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled baker to join our team at Frecon Farms. The ideal candidate will have prior commercial baking experience and a strong understanding of baking and pastry techniques. This role requires early morning shifts, where you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, including cookies, pies, breads, and other pastries, for our retail store, wholesale customers, and Farmer's Market program.
Responsibilities:
- Baking & Production: Finish and bake a wide variety of pastries, cookies, bread, scones, pie dough, and other baked goods daily.
- Quality Control: Ensure all baked goods meet Frecon Farms' high standards of quality. Troubleshoot production issues and maintain consistency.
- Preparation & Finishing: Prepare and finish products for both retail and wholesale outlets, ensuring timely and efficient production.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the rest of the bakery team to maintain workflow and quality.
Requirements:
- Prior Baking Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a commercial bakery environment, with proven ability to produce a wide variety of baked goods.
- Commercial Equipment Proficiency: Must be skilled in using commercial bakery equipment and working in fast-paced environments.
- Baking & Pastry Techniques: Knowledge of various baking and pastry techniques, with the ability to follow recipes and ensure consistent product quality.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
- Early Morning Availability: Must be available for early morning shifts (typically 4:30 AM - 12:30 PM), with at least one weekend day required per week.
- Effective Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting.
- Adaptability: Ability to troubleshoot and maintain quality standards even under pressure.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knife Skills: Basic to advanced knife skills preferred.
- Customer-Facing Experience: Ability to engage with retail and wholesale customers as needed, ensuring a positive experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Training: Full training provided for the right candidate.
- Work Schedule:
- Morning shifts (typically 4:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
- Weekend availability required (at least one weekend day)
- 10-hour and 8-hour shifts available.
