LEGAL SECRETARY
$2,500.00 SIGN ON BONUS
Essential Duties:
- Confirm proper service of lawsuit on Defendant pursuant to State Rules.
- Upkeep of data for new file assignments.
- Review court's online case record weekly and document accordingly.
- Phone calls to Courts nationwide confirming data or seeking additional information.
- Data entry in office system.
- Research court websites for potential lawsuits filed against company/insured.
- Assist with research and retrieval of records for current lawsuit(s).
- Processing requests for retrieval of court documents as needed.
- Upkeep of report on Files assigned and processed.
- Assist with assignments as directed.
- Must be computer literate. (MS Word, Excel, etc)
- Knowledge of legal terminology a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED;
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Legal Secretary;
- Bilingual, a plus but not necessary.
