Frederick Chevrolet located on Route 72 in Lebanon, PA is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor. The responsibilities of this role include greeting the customer, creating a service repair order based on the customer’s request, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair. This individual should have outstanding customer service skills, exceptional communication skills, and some automotive technical knowledge. The candidate must have effective time management and organizational skills as well as the ability to multi-task. This candidate needs to be able to understand or learn and effectively explain technical language to customers. In addition, we are looking for self-motivated candidates with detailed follow-through.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that customers receive considerate, prompt, and effective service
- Serve as a liaison between technicians and customers
- Greet customers and schedule service appointments
- Ability to understand automotive language to effectively resolve problems
- Uphold high ethical standards
- Manage workflow efficiently for assigned technician(s)
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Utilize dealership software and systems to maximize available information to the customer
- Obtaining customer and vehicle information
- Clearly reporting all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Establish follow up and completion time with the customer
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently
- Explaining all completed work and charges to customers
- Answer Phone Calls, Emails and Drive In’s to address any customer concern with the highest level of response and attention
- Return missed phone calls, email in no less than 5 minutes
- Determine if technical solution can be resolved over the phone; escalate immediately to Service Manager to provide immediate attention
- Accurately record issues and data into Dealer Management System. Attention to detail critical
- Conduct Transactions w/ system; walk customer through correction and provide summary
- Communicate estimated completion time, regular updates and follow through on each customer vehicle
- Coordinate the detail of every vehicle prior to delivery
- Coordinate the delivery time or pick up with each customer
- Follow up with Customer on services provided; ensure they are satisfied with the work performed
Requirements
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Previous service advisor experience a plus
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Moderate computer skills
- Positive and approachable
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, via the phone and via email with customers.
- Valid driver’s license
