EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What You’ll Do: Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Electrical Inspector, you will: Conduct field inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial structures to ensure compliance with the Virginia Construction Code, Virginia Maintenance Code, and ADA requirements.Review and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications to assess code compliance.Provide guidance and support to contractors, architects, engineers, and the general public regarding county code enforcement programs.Investigate complaints, issue violation notices and stop work orders, and ensure corrective actions are taken.Maintain organized inspection records, reports, and daily logs.Stay engaged with industry developments by participating in code-related organizations and emergency response situations when needed.
