About the Company - A boutique family law firm in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Firm Administrator to oversee its financial operations and administrative functions. This role will be primarily accounting-focused, with responsibilities centered on billing, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting. About the Role - Financial & Accounting Management
- Manage monthly client billing and respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Handle accounts receivable, including following up on past-due balances and working directly with clients to resolve payment issues.
- Process and track payments via credit card, wire transfer, check, and cash, ensuring proper reconciliation.
- Verify credit card transactions, posting dates, and properly allocate surcharge amounts.
- Oversee firm payments, process invoices, and conduct regular bank reconciliations.
- Assist the CPA with monthly and annual reporting, audits, and financial analysis.
- Enter and manage payroll and 401k contributions using ADP, Centerbase, and Voya.
Administrative & Operational Support (as needed)
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Work closely with attorneys and firm leadership to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiencies.
- Manage relationships with vendors and coordinate payment schedules and reconciliations.
- Provide general operational support, ensuring smooth financial and administrative processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 years of experience in law firm accounting, firm administration, or financial operations.
- Proficiency in law firm billing software (Centerbase preferred) and ADP payroll systems.
- Experience handling accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, payroll processing, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with client-facing financial discussions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
