Job Description
The Biology Department is home to numerous faculty and staff members dedicated to providing students with engaging and meaningful classes for future educators. We offer five programs at the undergraduate level, a 3 program, and a Masters in Biology program.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will :
Teach courses in Exercise Science and upper-level electives in the candidate's area of expertise;
Conduct mentored research that leads to peer-reviewed publications;
Contribute to curriculum development and refinement;
Observe regular office hours and provide academic advisement to students;
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Requirements :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have a Ph.D. or terminal degree in Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or a related discipline by August ;
Expertise in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Human Performance or closely related discipline;
Clear plans to develop a research program that provides rich opportunities for mentored student research;
Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications in the candidate's field;
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner, with students, faculty, staff and members of the community;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of equity and inclusiveness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Postdoctoral experience in exercise science;
University teaching experience;
Experience coordinating and supervising student internships and / or programs relevant to Exercise Science;
Ability to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II and contribute to the general education curriculum;
Experience with instructional technology;
Interest in and commitment to community engagement.
