Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, proficiency in Google Suite, and experience in data entry and clerical tasks. This role is vital for maintaining efficient office procedures and providing excellent support to our team.
Duties
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and maintain organized filing systems for easy access to information.
- Perform printing design tasks; including, but not limited to, memorial folders, laminated obituaries, etc...
- Utilize phone systems effectively to communicate with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Support the funeral home's functions by coordinating client appointments and managing records as necessary.
- Ensure that office supplies are well-stocked and manage inventory levels.
- Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and enhance productivity.
- Flexibility in job tasks to meet changing daily requirements due to the unpredictability of the funeral profession.
- Extreme compassion for callers in their time of need.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar administrative role is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and other computer applications.
- Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Familiarity with phone systems and basic office equipment (printers, copiers).
- Previous experience with a funeral home or other related death care profession as a receptionist or clerk is a plus but not required.
