What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Law Associate (1-3 years) - Minneapolis, MN position at Fredrikson & Byron?
Overview:
We are seeking a Health Associate to join the firm's Minneapolis office. Successful candidates will have a background in healthcare laws and regulations, including physician self-referral, fraud and abuse laws, state licensing, and HIPAA matters. Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions in the healthcare industry is helpful but not required.
Preferred candidates will have:
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare regulatory matters and/or healthcare mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Prior experience in private practice
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, project management, and writing skills
- Strong academic background
- J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
- Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in the State of Minnesota
