The Director of eCommerce Product & CRO will take full ownership of Freebird's website, driving its performance through CRO, UX design, data-driven experimentation, and international expansion. You'll work with existing design and development resources while building the structure, processes, and team needed to scale our eCommerce experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- CRO Leadership: Develop and execute a prioritized roadmap for testing and optimization to improve conversion rates and user experience
- Funnel Optimization: Create and refine high-performing landing pages and funnels, collaborating closely with marketing to align with campaigns
- Data-Driven Decisions: Ensure accurate tracking of KPIs like conversion rates, AOV, and funnel performance. Use data to identify opportunities and measure results
- Team Building: Establish and scale a high-performing eCommerce team, including CRO, UX/UI, and analytics experts
- Website Operations: Manage Shopify operations, app integrations, and site maintenance to ensure smooth daily functionality
- International Expansion: Optimize the website for international audiences, delivering localized experiences
- Proven Leadership in DTC eCommerce: Extensive experience managing and optimizing eCommerce websites for direct-to-consumer brands. Experience with subscription-based models and scaling high-growth businesses is a strong plus
- Expertise in CRO & Experimentation: Demonstrated success in running high-impact testing programs, including A/B and multivariate testing, with measurable improvements in conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLTV)
- Data-Driven Mindset: Advanced understanding of website analytics, event tracking, and performance reporting. Ability to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive key business decisions
- Technical Proficiency: Deep familiarity with Shopify and its ecosystem (e.g., ReCharge, app integrations), front-end development principles, technical SEO, and eCommerce platform operations
- Strategic Marketing Collaboration: Strong ability to partner with marketing teams to align website performance with broader acquisition and retention goals, driving measurable improvements in traffic conversion
- International Expansion Expertise: Experience designing and implementing semi-localized experiences to optimize international growth, including managing multi-region strategies for performance and usability
- Team-Building & Leadership Skills: Proven ability to hire, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Experience scaling teams to meet the needs of a growing business
- UX Design & Product Optimization Knowledge: Strong understanding of user experience design principles, customer behavior, and product management, with a focus on crafting seamless and engaging customer journeys
- Exceptional Communication & Execution: Ability to clearly articulate strategies, results, and data insights to stakeholders while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
