Freedom Ag & Energy is a farmer-owned cooperative with multiple locations in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland, each with a rich tradition of serving the agriculture and energy needs of their communities. In addition to our traditional ag business, we offer products and services for home & garden, pet supplies, animal health, outdoor recreation, heating and cooling. Our growing energy department serves both business and residential customers.
General Summary
Performs a variety of customer service and business office functions for Freedom Ag & Energy petroleum location. Coordinate with Department Manager to execute daily operations as assigned to ensure prompt routing and delivery of fuel products and servicing of related equipment for Freedom AG & Energy (FAE) customers.
Plan routes for delivery of fuel products to include heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, and/or liquid propane. Assign delivery routes and schedules to petroleum operations team members. Maintain regular communication with drivers and facility leadership on equipment condition, supply of materials, account issues and other critical factors to ensure efficient daily operations.
Receive and process delivery tickets and work orders for a variety of products and related services. Accurately enter order information into the system and communicate details according to location/company procedures. Schedule delivery and/or service appointments for new and recurring orders.
Represent FAE in a positive manner through professional and courteous communication with customers and suppliers. Review account details with customers. Provide information on delivered products and equipment, including loaned equipment and transfers.
Confirm future deliveries with customers to maintain their required inventory. Discuss additional FAE fuel services which may benefit the customer and refer to an appropriate sales representative for follow-up as necessary.
Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prefer additional coursework in agriculture, plant science, animal science, or a related field.
Experience: Requires a minimum of one years of related experience in propane, petroleum or related industry. Previous Freedom Ag & Energy work experience strongly preferred.
