Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, the Business Development Officer generates revenue and facilitates growth opportunities by developing partnerships, expanding the client base, and optimizing sales strategies. Creating new opportunities to expand business and maintain current client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development Officers will be VERY proactive in cold calling on new prospects by going out into the surrounding market of the branch they are designated to report to. It is expected they will spend Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm outside the branch looking for new customers.
  • Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and increase revenue by establishing new deposit relationships.
  • Focus on building a pipeline of potential customers and expanding the portfolio to attract new business and customer relationships.
  • Promote and cross sell bank products to prospective and existing customers on non-interest and interest-bearing accounts, mortgages, credit cards, loans, and merchant services that may fulfill customer’s financial needs.
  • Aggressively seeks and obtains quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals and cross selling efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with key clients and partners.
  • Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.
  • Responsible for weekly reporting to the Supervisor on pipeline prospects and progress made by submitting an excel report of all calls made during previous week and keeping track of success on previous calls made.
  • Support the bank's strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service and superior product knowledge. This is achieved during the time that the Business Development Officer is not out in the community making their cold calls.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and all banking regulations
  • Observe all BSA aspects of relationships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and “Follow up”. Following up with customers is a must and a key component of the Freedom Bank Culture. It is important to understand how crucial this facet is.
  • Represent the bank regularly in key community activities whether during working hours or after hours. Business Development Officers will be expected to attend a minimum number of events throughout the year.
  • Able to understand their goals and how to achieve them monthly.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong Sales Skills is a must and ability to handle the stress of sales is required.
  • Team Player a must whether in a supporting role or a leadership role.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
