Job Overview: The Dock Manager will oversee all dock operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily activities, excellent member service, and adherence to safety protocols. This role involves managing dock staff, maintaining the facility, and enhancing the overall member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dock Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the dock, including boat maintenance, cleaning, and storage. Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that the dock area is clean and well-organized.
- Member Service: Provide exceptional service to members, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with boat check-ins/outs, conduct briefings on boat usage, and ensure a high level of member satisfaction.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and manage dock staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety procedures are followed and that the dock area complies with local regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and order necessary supplies and equipment for dock operations. Keep accurate records of inventory and equipment usage.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate routine maintenance and repair of dock facilities and boats. Work with external vendors when necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Member Engagement: Engage with members to gather feedback, address concerns, and promote dock events or activities. Work to build a strong sense of community among members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in dock management, marina operations, or a related field is preferred. Experience in customer service and staff management is a must.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with boating operations, safety regulations, and maintenance practices. A passion for boating and maritime activities is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CPR/First Aid, boating safety, or dock management, are advantageous.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks related to dock management and boat handling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
