Job Summary
Local Franchise of Freedom Boat Club, the oldest and largest boat club in the world, seeks a full time dockmaster at our beautiful Palm Bay location and a part-time dockmaster at our beautiful Micco Marina. The Dock Master plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations at the dock, ensuring the safe and efficient boating experiences for our members. This position requires a strong understanding of basic boating concepts and actual small, single engine, outboard handling experience. Customer service experience and some light mechanical knowledge are required as well. The ability to work long ours in inclement weather
Duties
- Meet our members in the parking lot with a cart to provide assistance with their personal items
- Ensure that all member outings are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Follow the company's specific safety check out and checkin proceedures.
- Fuel and clean the boats to the company's exacting standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to rigging and other equipment as necessary. Communicate all of these issues to our maintenance department.
- Complete the prior day member manifest contact proceedure.
Experience
- Previous experience in a marine or dock management role is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
- Two years small, single engine, outboard boat handling experience.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with members, guests, marina personel, and othr stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
