This seasonal opportunity (April to November) offers a unique chance to work in a vibrant, nautical environment, earn competitive wages plus tips, and create unforgettable experiences for our members.

As a key member of our Dock Crew, you will:

• Foster a Welcoming Environment: Greet members with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine enthusiasm for their marine adventures.
• Orchestrate Smooth and Safe Operations: Manage boat reservations, assist members with boarding and docking, and ensure our fleet is always ready for adventure and adheres to all safety standards.
• Champion Safety First: Conduct thorough pre-departure and post-return checks, educate members on safety protocols, and maintain a secure boating environment.
• Share Your Local Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the local waterways and provide members with helpful chart guidance to enhance their boating experience.
• Keep Our Fleet Shipshape and Safe: Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our boats, ensuring they are sparkling, ready for the next member, and meet all safety requirements.
• Be a Team Player: Collaborate with fellow Dock Staff and supervisors to deliver exceptional service, uphold safety standards, and foster a positive, supportive work environment.

What We’re Looking For:
While boating experience is a plus, we're primarily looking for individuals who:

• You’re a People Person: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with members.
• Communicate Effectively: Articulate instructions clearly, including safety procedures, listen attentively, and provide prompt, helpful assistance.
• Pay Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in tasks like fuel logs, reservation management, and safety checklists.
• Are Adaptable and Proactive: Handle unexpected situations with grace, take initiative to improve the member experience, and prioritize safety in all actions.
• Are Physically Fit: Can lift up to 30lbs, comfortably board and load boats, perform cleaning tasks efficiently, and assist in emergency situations if needed.
• Are Committed to Safety: Understand the importance of safety protocols and are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for members and staff.
• NASBLA Certification: This certification is required for the position. Don't have it yet? No problem! We will provide the necessary training to obtain your NASBLA certification.

Qualifications:

• Ability to complete light maintenance work
• Valid driver's license and background check required
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the role.
• Weekend/Holiday shifts and a minimum of 3 shifts per week are required.
