Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Permitting Division Manager to lead our permitting team and oversee the submission and management of Residential and Commercial Permits. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in permit processes, team management, and regulatory compliance. You will ensure seamless operations, drive process improvements, and serve as a key liaison between stakeholders and municipal building departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of permitting professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Oversee the end-to-end process for Residential and Commercial Permit submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline permitting workflows, reducing delays and improving efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex permitting issues, resolving conflicts with building departments and external partners.
- Monitor changes in building codes, zoning laws, and permit requirements, ensuring team adherence to updated standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, construction, compliance) to align permitting activities with project timelines.
- Prepare detailed reports on permitting metrics, team performance, and project status for senior leadership.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in permit management, with heavy focus on Residential and Commercial Permit Expediting.
- 2 years of leadership experience, including direct supervision of permit expediting teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida’s building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in permitting software and digital submission platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with stakeholders, municipal offices, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Education & Certifications:
- Certifications such as Contractor's License or similar are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: 105,000–145,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
- 401K: 8% employer match, vested after 2 months.
- Health Insurance Reimbursement: $250/month stipend.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
