As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead our internal billing team and external RCM resources.
This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing 5–7 onsite team members and managing outsourced vendors that support insurance billing, A/R follow-up, and collections. The ideal candidate is proactive, systems-oriented, and ready to take ownership of all revenue cycle operations across a multi-location dental organization.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable RCM leader with deep expertise in dental billing, team leadership, and performance optimization. The right candidate will bring a strong understanding of CDT codes, payer processes, credentialing, insurance verification, and A/R management. This role requires both strategic oversight and a willingness to dive into the details to improve accuracy, turnaround times, and collections performance.
This is a preferred in-office position (4–5 days/week) based in Newark, DE. However, highly qualified remote candidates with proven leadership and integration skills will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 5–7 onsite billing and insurance specialists.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle, including insurance claims processing, A/R follow-up, and payment posting.
- Serve as the liaison for outsourced RCM partners, ensuring KPIs are met and workflows are aligned with internal operations.
- Monitor and report on revenue cycle KPIs across all locations; identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and appeals processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely insurance verification and pre-authorization workflows.
- Implement best practices in billing, collections, and patient communication to improve performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through training, workflow optimization, and technology integration.
- Stay current on dental insurance policies, CDT code updates, and compliance standards.
- Support credentialing, CAQH management, and payer enrollment efforts across providers and locations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
✅ 95% clean claim submission rate
✅ Reduce A/R over 60 days by 20% within first 6 months
✅ Maintain average claim resolution time of 30 days or less
✅ Achieve and sustain 98% insurance collection rate
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in dental revenue cycle management, including insurance billing and collections.
- 2 years of leadership or team management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CDT codes, PPOs, Medicaid, and out-of-network billing.
- Proficient in dental practice management systems (Denticon, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced partners and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a drive for process improvement and efficiency.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle KPIs, payer portals, and insurance workflows.
