Our growing organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RCM / Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate insurance claims processing, timely reimbursements, and maximizing collections for our dental offices.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive RCM / Insurance Billing Specialist with experience in dental insurance billing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, and have a strong understanding of CDT codes, insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up on outstanding claims. This position is preferred to be in-office 4-5 days a week, but we are open to considering a highly experienced remote candidate who can seamlessly integrate with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Review and verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Work A/R reports and follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Identify and resolve claim discrepancies, rejections, and underpayments.
- Post insurance payments and adjustments, ensuring accuracy.
- Communicate with insurance providers to confirm coverage, pre-authorizations, and claim statuses.
- Provide patients with clear explanations of their benefits, financial responsibilities, and billing inquiries.
- Ensure proper coding and documentation to maximize insurance reimbursement.
- Stay up-to-date with insurance policies, CDT coding updates, and industry best practices.
- Assist in credentialing and enrollment processes as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years of dental billing and insurance claims experience required.
- Strong knowledge of CDT codes, PPOs, Medicaid, and out-of-network billing.
- Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar).
- Ability to analyze and resolve claim issues effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with revenue cycle KPIs and best practices.
