What are the responsibilities and job description for the NP/PA/MD - Contract Position, Flexible Scheduling position at Freedom Med, Inc.?
Freedom Med is actively seeking qualified medical providers (NP, PA, or MD) in Fort Polk, LA to perform contracted VA disability examinations.
While working with Freedom Med, you will be conducting general medical exams for Veterans who have sought disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The examiner’s role is to perform thorough examinations, review relevant medical records, and determine the degree of disability resulting from service-related conditions. The examiner will diagnose conditions related to the Veteran’s claimed disability and, if needed, form an evidence-based medical opinion on whether or not the claim is due to their military service.

Qualifications:
- Active medical license AND board certification
- Minimum 1 year of work experience
- Own office required (able to provide own location for exams), desired within 20 miles of Fort Polk
