Status: Full-Time Wage: $ 24-$27 per hour based on experience.
Freedom Plaza is seeking a highly skilled and hospitality-focused Dining Manager to lead our dining services team. This position is responsible for providing full-scope, hands-on dining room management, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests.
The Dining Manager will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, staff performance, and customer satisfaction, while embodying the company’s commitment to high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of the dining room and serving staff to create and maintain a superior dining experience for all residents and guests.
Manage day-to-day dining room operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management to ensure smooth service delivery.
Provide leadership, coaching, development, and training to all serving staff, promoting continuous improvement in customer service, food presentation, and dining efficiency.
Uphold company standards for food quality, appearance, and presentation, ensuring all health, safety, and sanitation regulations are consistently met.
Develop and maintain staff schedules in compliance with operational needs and budget requirements.
Maintain dining room inventory and supplies to ensure all service stations are fully stocked and operational during meal times.
Implement and enforce standards of service for speed, accuracy, and efficiency while ensuring serving staff adhere to hospitality and customer care protocols.
Monitor and manage dining room cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, including maintaining table setups and clearing dishes during and after meal service.
Handle guest complaints and issues promptly, with professionalism and care, ensuring a positive dining experience at all times.
Assist in menu distribution, ensuring resident preferences and dietary requirements are considered.
Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate seamless service between the kitchen and dining room.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
Work closely with the senior management team on budgeting, cost control, and the implementation of dining-related initiatives.
Additional Management Responsibilities:
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff members to ensure a consistent level of service excellence.
Act as a liaison between residents, guests, and the Culinary Services Department to foster open communication and address any concerns or suggestions.
Manage and resolve any interpersonal issues within the dining team, ensuring a cohesive and positive work environment.
Plan and coordinate special events, theme dinners, and holiday celebrations in collaboration with the activities and marketing teams.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations concerning food safety and dining operations.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelors in Hospitality or equivalent education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of restaurant or senior living experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or
role in a high-end dining or hospitality setting.
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive dining experiences.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in sanitation.
