What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Business Development Associate position at Freedom Solar Power?
The Marketing Associate, Partnerships will be focused on executing our partnership strategy with other home services businesses in our Texas and Florida markets to drive new leads for our residential solar business. The Marketing Associate, Partnerships will onboard new lead generation partners, build marketing programs with them, and optimize towards effectiveness and efficiency. This individual contributor role is comfortable helping us launch and execute these strategies and thrives in a fast-paced, results-focused culture. This role will report to the Director of Brand Marketing.
\n- Identify and activate a pipeline of new partnership and affiliate opportunities across our 6 Texas and Florida markets in the home services sector, such as roofers, contractors, HVAC services, builders, content creators, and bloggers.
- Conduct business development and outreach to pitch brands on partnering with us to co-market to our customer bases. Network and research to get to the decision-makers.
- Partner with our creative and marketing teams to build co-branded landing pages, co-branded assets (such as print materials and web banners), partnership announcements, customer emails, and social media campaigns.
- Maintain and grow the existing affiliate partners through regular communications and relationship building. Conduct meetings with partners to review performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and optimize campaigns. Deliver training, marketing collateral, product updates, and best practices to partners to enable them to sell Freedom Solar and drive new leads for our business.
- Track, analyze, and report on partner performance metrics, including lead generation effectiveness. Identify trends, areas for improvement, and actionable insights that can optimize partner success. Work cross-functionally with Finance and IT teams to ensure partners are onboarded and paid out appropriately.
- Prepare and present weekly reports to senior leadership on the status of partnerships, including achievements, challenges, and key performance indicators
- Work with the Marketing Director to develop business strategies and execute projects to improve overall partnership growth and performance.
- Other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Brand Marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience.
- Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience in partnerships, business development, sales, or account management.
- Comfortable with traveling up to 10 days per month (within Texas or to Florida).
- Experience with Google or Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and spreadsheets, documents, and slide presentations.
- Vendor relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Outgoing, excellent communicator who loves building meaningful relationships with partners. Not afraid to pick up the phone and make a cold call, or simply knock on a door.
- All-in team player who will roll up your sleeves to get the job done, and can problem-solve solutions when a project hits a roadblock.
