Job Summary:
As an Accounting Associate at Freeland Chevy Superstore, you will play an integral role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and finance tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reports. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in the automotive industry. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Nashville, Tennessee and reports to the Controller.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $21 per hour, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match. Employees also have access to discounts on vehicle purchases and services.
Responsibilities:
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Process vehicle inventory acquisitions
• Adhere to accounting policies and procedures
• Support other areas of the accounting department as needed including filing
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
