What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Freeland Orthodontics?

Our orthodontic assistants are an integral part of our treatment team and we strive to deliver the most personalized care possible to our patients. We are currently looking for an experienced (1 year minimum) Orthodontic Clinical Assistant who is seeking a career in a rewarding field. We are looking for a warm, caring, positive and hardworking teammate to fill this position.
Duties:
- Chairside assisting the orthodontist
- Take radiographs, clinical photos, impressions
- Inform patients of pre-op and post-op procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect orthodontic instruments and equipment.
- Good working knowledge of computer input of information
- Occlusal splint adjustments and fittings
- Changing arch wires in self-ligating orthodontic bracket system
