We are currently seeking a Superintendent!
The Superintendent oversees field operations for commercial electrical projects while leading and managing crews, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and efficient project execution.
This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage field crews on commercial electrical projects
- Oversee job site operations to ensure quality and safety
- Coordinate with project managers and clients for smooth execution
- Maintain schedules and meet project deadlines
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and company standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues efficiently
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management team
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment on job sites
- Train and mentor team members to uphold company standards and best practices
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience as a Mechanic/Superintendent in commercial electrical
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and industry best practices
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics
- Journeyman or Master license in VA or state that has reciprocity with VA
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 30 certification
Physical Demands & Working Environment:
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions at commercial construction sites
- Requires standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and other physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Must adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
