Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma or GED
Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills
School office experience or volunteer experience (preferred)
Ability to organize
Ability to work with people
Ability to work within deadlines and handle interruptions
Physical ability to lift and move textbooks
Primary Purpose:
Manage the textbook program at the campus assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process (barcode) all textbooks from warehouse.
- Distribute and maintain accurate records of all textbooks, including financial reports.
- Become familiar with Hayes Textbook software system. Input campus textbooks on computer.
- Operate and maintain all workroom equipment, i.e., copiers, laminator, lettering machine.
- Type worksheets, tests, forms, and other papers as requested by teachers.
- Assist as needed in the classroom, clinic, and cafeteria (elementary).
- Cover paraprofessional positions as needed (secondary).
- Respect the confidence of students, instructional personnel, and the administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, typewriter, printer, copier, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Moderate lifting up to 30 pounds.
