Job Overview
Our Financial Management Department are recruiting. Due to a promotion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible professional to join our team as a Deputy Directorate Accountant.
The Deputy Directorate Accountant will work as part of the Financial Management team to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information, support and guidance to the Trust’s Clinical Boards.
The Financial Management team are responsible for the monthly closedown, variance analysis, reporting and forecasting, as well as providing business support to managers, including high quality financial information and analysis to meet their financial objectives throughout the year.
The role is based at Regent Point in Gosforth, with parking available or easy access to the Regent Centre metro and bus interchange. We offer agile and flexible working to support work-life balance and provide a supportive and inclusive team environment with opportunities to thrive and develop.

The team produce monthly management accounts to enable accurate monitoring and forecasting of the Trust's financial position, enabling Clinical Boards and the Trust to make well informed financial decisions.

- To play an advanced role in assisting the Directorate Accountant in the provision of a high quality financial management service and deputising when necessary.
- To work closely with the Directorate Management Team, providing timely and accurate financial and supporting information and advice to facilitate the effective monitoring of specific Directorate and Department’s specific financial position.
- To play an integral role in the formulation of the Trust’s budget.
- To ensure that financial controls are maintained within Corporate Governance guidelines.
