Where You Will Work
Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description
Under general supervision of the Activity Programs Specialist, responsible for recreation duties, sports, special events, community outreach, and Clifton Gym.
- Responsible for assisting Coordinators with all programs and events. Including preparation, running each event, and break down.
- Assists in administration work such as pre and post action reports, monthly reports, PowerPoint presentations, rosters, etc.
- Maintains communications with stakeholders to enhance the sites programming scopes and resource base.
- Establishes a network of resources such as community agencies, other FMI departments, organizations, and service groups to enhance the sites programs.
- Performs public relations duties, recommends and provides feedback regarding program improvements that reflect the needs and interests of the community.
- Assists in training the recreational staff, and volunteers.
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong customer service, listening and problem-solving skills
- Competency in management, administration, promotion, and program development
- Experience in relationship building with families of all ages and abilities
- Ability to use computers and MS Office software including word processing and database software
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively with people
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations and to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of experience in recreation or related field.
Criteria/Conditions:
- Work is performed indoors and in the field.
- Work may be on site of special events and activities.
- Must be able to work irregular hours including some evenings and weekends.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
- Ability to work in stressful environment.

What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.50 - $20.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
