Marketing Coordinator

Job Location: Clinton Township

Days: Monday Thru Friday w/Occasional Saturdays

Salary: $50,000-$55,000/annually (Up to a 5% annual incentive)

Benefits:

3 weeks PTO available in the first year

401k with up to a 6% match

Up to a 5% year-end bonus

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Marketing Coordinator is to promote the services provided by facilitating marketing, business development and community relations for the credit union. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to coordinate events, mailings, and other marketing functions. Excellent written and oral skills are essential

What You'll Do In This Role:

Acts as the liaison for the 3rd Party Marketing Agency of record.

Assists with developing an effective marketing plan and strategy to help meet organizational goals.

Assists in the creation and approval of promotional content for marketing materials such as direct mail letters, postcards, posters, and other marketing assets to communicate the features and benefits of the products and services offered.

Composes member correspondence as necessary (thank you letters, member complaint follow-up letters, etc.)

Creates email campaigns and other communication as needed to support credit union initiatives.

Works with marketing team to implement branch promotions to include lobby signage, buck slips, contests, and other creative activities to cross-sell products and services.

Ensures all marketing materials are aligned with FreeStar Financial brand identity.

Manages ongoing, recurring Marketing communication such as loan surveys, new member correspondence, and promotional communication

Maintains a working knowledge of the email marketing platforms and other programs used in the Marketing department to create professional content and messaging

Acts as an event coordinator for the organization by planning events out in the community, coordinating proper staffing for events, establishing expectations, and tracking the success of each event.

In coordination with the marketing team, creates content calendars and communication plans for marketing campaign.

Coordinate and engage other vendors as needed to achieve organizational goals (e.g. video production, website design, etc.)

Attends various meetings and/or events in the community and/or at trade associations to represent the credit union brand, possible evening and weekend events as required.

Collects data surrounding demographics, analyzing market trends

Maintains and develops content for social media sites.

Attends onsite new membership drives.

What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial:

Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field preferred.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Public speaking/professional presentation experience preferred.

Video and basic graphic design skills a plus.
