Job Description:
An Electrical Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling complex electromechanical devices by carefully fitting and attaching both electrical and mechanical components according to detailed blueprints and specifications, utilizing hand tools and machinery to ensure proper functionality and quality control within a production environment; tasks may include reading schematics, wiring, aligning parts, and performing basic testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly:
· Precisely assemble electrical and mechanical components into finished electromechanical devices, following detailed assembly instructions and blueprints.
· Position, align, and secure components using various fastening methods like screws, bolts, rivets, and adhesives.
· Install wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors according to schematic diagrams.
Quality Control:
· Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components for defects, misalignments, or incorrect installations.
· Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances of parts.
· Perform basic functional tests on assembled units to identify and resolve potential issues.
Technical Skills:
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
· Proficient use of hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.) and power tools (drills, crimpers, etc.)
· Knowledge of basic electrical principles and soldering techniques
Other Duties:
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace
· Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
· Report any quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors
· May assist in training new assemblers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in mechanical assembly or electronics assembly preferred
· Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
· Basic computer skills for accessing work orders and documentation
