Position Overview : The Freight Broker with a Book of Business will be responsible for managing and growing an existing portfolio of clients while sourcing and negotiating freight solutions. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced professional with a deep understanding of the logistics industry, strong negotiation skills, and a successful track record of managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will leverage their book of business to drive growth and foster long-term partnerships. Key Responsibilities : Manage Existing Client Relationships : Utilize your existing book of business to maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business. New Business Development : Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the client base, leveraging your industry connections and business acumen. Freight Coordination : Source and negotiate freight rates with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions for clients. Contract Negotiation : Lead discussions with clients and carriers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements. Market Research : Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive pricing to provide clients with the best possible solutions. Problem Resolution : Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction. Sales & Performance Goals : Meet or exceed established sales and performance targets, including revenue and profit margins. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all transactions, communications, and contracts. Provide regular reports to management on performance metrics. Qualifications : Proven track record as a Freight Broker with an established book of business. In-depth knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. Strong negotiation skills and ability to source competitive freight rates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for business development. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
