Position Overview: The Freight Broker with a Book of Business will be responsible for managing and growing an existing portfolio of clients while sourcing and negotiating freight solutions. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced professional with a deep understanding of the logistics industry, strong negotiation skills, and a successful track record of managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will leverage their book of business to drive growth and foster long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Existing Client Relationships: Utilize your existing book of business to maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the client base, leveraging your industry connections and business acumen.
- Freight Coordination: Source and negotiate freight rates with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions for clients.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead discussions with clients and carriers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive pricing to provide clients with the best possible solutions.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Sales & Performance Goals: Meet or exceed established sales and performance targets, including revenue and profit margins.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, communications, and contracts. Provide regular reports to management on performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Freight Broker with an established book of business.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to source competitive freight rates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for business development.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

We are offering $1,000.00 for the first 3 months
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
