Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payment.
- Utilize effective negotiation skills to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to accounts.
- Review patient accounts for accuracy, including verifying ICD-10 codes and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with the billing department to address discrepancies and ensure proper billing practices.
- Utilize financial software to track payments, debits, credits, and account statuses.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients regarding their accounts.
- Assist in the overall revenue cycle management by identifying trends in payment delays or issues.
