Membership and Events Coordinator

Membership and Events Coordinator plans, coordinates and conducts activities to ensure and increase the Chamber membership and financial support while also acting as the lead on implementing FACC events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Membership Management:
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for Chamber’s membership and financial support.
  • Maintain and update the membership database including invoices, dues, staff contacts.
  • Process new member applications and renewals.
  • Develop and implement strategies for member recruitment and retention.
  • Respond to member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate member benefits and communicate them effectively.
  • Work jointly with the Executive Director on the following:
  • Regular membership meetings including Business After Hours, Educational classes, luncheon speakers, the annual meeting
  • Schedule ribbon cutting ceremonies
  • Provide staff support at the office during business hours
  • Provides staff support at events as needed
  • Event Coordination:
  • Plan and organize member-focused events, such as networking events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Oversee event logistics including venue selection, catering, and equipment rental.
  • Develop and distribute promotional materials for events.
  • Manage event registration and ticketing processes along with map development.
  • Provide on-site management and coordination during events.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation and reporting.
  • Provide staff support at events as needed
  • Inquiries regarding events and bookings:
  • Provide checklist and/or timeline to assist in events and committee members roles
  • Respond to mail and e-mail requests directed to events supported by the FACC.
  • Schedule committee meetings and provide updates on event details
  • Marketing and Communication:
  • With the support of the Executive Director create and distribute bi-monthly newsletters, promotional materials, and other communications to members.
  • Promote membership benefits and upcoming events.
  • Responsible for news releases for events and activities via social media and websites.
  • Works with Executive Director on a Membership Directory
  • Works to maintain website information is up to date
  • Handle social media platforms posting for FACC and community events
  • Sponsorship and Partnerships:
  • Secure sponsorships and partnerships for events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in membership coordination, event planning, sponsorships, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with events preferred.
  • Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, creative problem-solving abilities, a positive attitude, and a passion for engaging with the community.

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual Salary Range: $40,000 to $45,000
