Corporate Accountant

We are looking for a Corporate Accountant for a chemical company specializing in surfactant-based solutions and custom batch formulations, serving world-leading consumer brands and industrial enterprise. Reponsibilities

• Active engagement in performing month-end close activities for the global entity, including preparing and posting of journal entries and timely completion of account reconciliations and support schedules
• Complete day-to-day accounting tasks, including posting entries, reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies
• Assist with complex accounting matters, including comingled and intercompany inventory transactions, lease and fixed asset accounting, intangible assets, and consolidation
• Prepare reports and present financial and other information clearly, in oral and written format, to senior management, auditors, and other internal and external customers
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and best practices
• Maintain a continuous improvement approach and professional skepticism mindset to improve the integrity of financial records, ERP, financial reporting and internal controls
• Perform analysis and generate analytical reports using micro and macro level data
• Assist external auditors and tax preparers in interim and annual audits and tax filings
• Support team members in the accounting department and other cross-functional teams
• Perform special projects and ad hoc requests as required

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification
• 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, with a track record of value-added accomplishments and increased responsibility
• Strong technical and practical knowledge of GAAP accounting and familiarity with three statement model
• Highest standard for integrity, accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot
