In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly financial reporting for review in French and US GAAP
- Establishing year-end GAAP-based financial statements including global consolidation
- Monitoring all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued
- Completing intercompany transactions and transfer accounting between entities
- Reviewing G/L coding of all transactions ensuring they are booked properly, and none are missing
- Ensuring that the P&L is accurate (e.g., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts)
- Reconciling every balance sheet account to ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation (cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid, etc.)
- Managing external audits to ensure timely completion and resolution of any identified issues
- Assisting with any duties necessary for the success of the accounting department
- Ensuring proper application of all financial controls and policies
- Promoting and maintaining a productive work environment aligned with the company’s values
Skills and requirements for this role:
- At least 8 years experience in accounting, consolidations, and managing employees
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required and current CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Experience of use and development of finance systems including ERP and planning
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds in a clear, professional, and courteous manner
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other team members to solve customer problems
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good adaptability and ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong written and verbal English is mandatory
- French fluency is preferred
- A knowledge of US and French GAAP and taxes is required
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
