REPORTS TO: VP of Licensing

Summary

The Licensing Associate directly supports the administrative needs of the VP of Licensing and helps to drive Product Development with an emphasis on maintaining and enforcing calendars and critical deadlines.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated forward thinker with a strong sense of deliverable urgency, who works well in a fast-paced collaborative environment, is a proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible natured team player, with the ability to multitask, recognize and react to changing work demands.

Responsibilities

• Product Licensing, act as key liaison between licensed businesses and all French Connection internal teams.
• Manage Product Development Calendar. Position would be key point person during product development process.
• Book work travel.
• Compiling and sending out samples for licensee and retailer meetings.
• Coordinate meetings, screen incoming calls and maintain schedules.
• Drive Product Development by photographing product at all major retailers seasonally and creating a Competitive Analysis on PowerPoint.
• Drive Product Development by studying WGSN key insights for seasonal trends, watching haute couture runway shows and building into five key moods each season for licensed categories.
• Attend meetings and assist with note taking and follow up.
• Responsible for maintaining development spreadsheets for all licensees to track product lifecycles.
• Retrieve and distribute seasonal trends, print and color information to all licensees.
• Responsible for collecting and managing full sample lines of all licensed goods.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to control and manage heavy scheduling needs.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills, very detail oriented.
• Bachelors degree in Licensing or relevant experience.

Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
