About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis therapy.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient education on disease processes, access procedures, and online clearance monitoring
- Assisting in training other healthcare members on patient care procedures
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment data
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare initial patient chart for admission and compile paperwork for appropriate placement in chart
- Prepare and print lab requisitions for prescribed or stat lab specimens according to laboratory destination
- Collect, label, and store lab samples according to required laboratory specifications
- Ensure collection of lab specimens by appropriate lab courier
