Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support patient care. These tasks include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred
- Certification through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Health Career Association (NHA), MedCA, or other recognized organizations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
