Responsibilities
- You will assess patient knowledge and provide education on the relationship between diet and kidney disease, impacting treatment outcomes.
- Provides ongoing assessment and counseling necessary to assist patients in achieving effective nutritional status.
- Maintains accurate medical records, including progress notes.
- Identifies malnourished or at-risk patients and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop appropriate interventions.
- Reports on nutrition QAI results and participates in the interdisciplinary QAI program.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We require:
- Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
- Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition encouraged.
- Current state licensure if applicable.
- 1 year experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian.
- Previous renal experience preferred.
