The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to eight retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

Position Overview
The Director of Marketing will oversee all aspects of marketing, brand strategy, and customer engagement to support the growth and success of Fresh Baguette. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in digital marketing, community engagement, and multi-unit retail marketing. The Director will manage marketing campaigns, develop strategies for new store launches, and build a loyal customer base through innovative and impactful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive foot traffic, sales, and brand awareness across all locations.Plan and manage marketing efforts for new store openings, including pre-launch campaigns, grand openings, and post-launch initiatives.Establish and maintain the brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging and design across all touchpoints.
Campaign Management
Create and oversee seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotions to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.Design localized marketing plans for each location, tailored to community demographics and customer behavior.
Digital Marketing
Lead the digital marketing strategy, including social media management, email campaigns, and online advertising.Optimize the company website and online ordering platforms to enhance customer experience and maximize sales.Use SEO, SEM, and analytics tools to improve digital performance and visibility.
Community Engagement
Manage a field marketing coordinator and assist with community activations
Customer Loyalty and Retention
Develop and manage a customer loyalty program to increase repeat visits and build brand loyalty.Use CRM tools to segment customers and deliver personalized marketing campaigns.
Team Management
Lead and mentor the marketing team, providing direction and support to achieve departmental goals.Collaborate with store managers and staff to ensure smooth execution of marketing initiatives.
Analytics and Reporting
Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.Provide regular reports to leadership on marketing effectiveness, sales trends, and customer insights.
Qualifications
Experience: 5 to 7 years in marketing, preferably in multi-unit retail, food and beverage, or hospitality.Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
