Facilities Maintenance

Shift Hours : 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Job Function Statements - Essential Functions :

• Plumbing skills needed : repair broken, damaged, and leaking pvc / copper pipe; repair / replace automatic flush valves and sink valves, insulating pipe work. Proper use of required tools.
• Electrical skills needed include 1yr minimum experience with high and low voltage; repair / replace light fixtures; troubleshoot and replace / install receptacles and drops; able to read prints, schematics, and line drawings. Understanding and using DVM and other special tools.
• Light construction skills : Attaching parts and equipment with concrete anchors, repairing holes in concrete with supplied materials, repairing manual and electric roll up doors and pass-through doors. Welding skills are a plus. Able to read and follow prints. Understanding and using basic units of measure. Proper use of required tools to complete job.
• Dependable and self-motivated with the ability to work some weekends as projects or special work requires.
• Able to communicate and work well with others as a team player.
• Understand and operate multiple kinds of material handling equipment and personnel lifts.
• Professional work skills from start to completion of all jobs, keeping work area clean, organized, and well maintained throughout the entire repair / installation process.
